Educational Diagnostician – Carlsbad, NM (26/27 school year)

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated Educational Diagnostician for a school-based role in Carlsbad, NM for the 26/27 school year. This is a full-time position supporting a local school district with psycho educational evaluation services and is ideal for TEA certified candidates who are passionate about helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

• Current license as an Educational Based Diagnostician in New Mexico
• Graduate from an EBD program
• Valid NM PED
• Prior experience in a school-based special education setting preferred

• Administer and interpret standardized assessments evaluating cognitive ability, academic achievement, and social‑emotional development
• Write detailed evaluation reports and attend ARD/IEP meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and support individualized education plans
• Ensure all evaluations comply with state and federal special education law (IDEA) and TEA guidelines
