Work Schedule:
Standard (M-F, 8-5)
- Deliver instruction in assigned courses following the master course syllabus, learning outcomes, and departmental guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain course syllabi, develop instructional materials, and design assessments that promote student learning.
- Engage students through active and inclusive teaching strategies, provide timely feedback, and foster a supportive classroom environment.
- Teach in various instructional modalities (in‑person, online, hybrid, hyflex) on different days and times, including evenings and weekends.
- Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently while maintaining accurate records of grades and attendance.
- Be available to support students through appropriate and accessible means of communication outside of class times.
- Participate in required orientation sessions, professional development, or departmental training as expected.
- Required Minimum Degree:
Master’s Degree or PhD in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Family and Consumer Sciences Education, or Bilingual Education. - Preferred:
Demonstrated post‑secondary teaching experience. - Experience with media, evolving instructional technologies, and distance learning programs.
- Teaching philosophy that aligns with DACC mission and values.
- Bilingual competence in English and Spanish considered an asset.

Typical interior/office work environment.
Physical Effort:

Lifting Requirements:
Handling average‑weight objects up to 10 pounds.
