Responsibilities- Supervises and coordinates the daily tasks of the I&E department, ensuring efficient and compliant field operations in line with safety and environmental standards.
- Troubleshoots and repairs diverse electrical, automation, and communication equipment, demonstrating strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues effectively.
- Executes preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and systems, ensuring their continued functionality, reliability, and safety.
- Reads and interprets electrical schematics and diagrams to understand complex electrical systems and facilitate troubleshooting tasks.
- Ensures that all maintenance work complies with applicable safety, engineering, safe practice standards, laws, regulations, and meets company policies, procedures, and specifications.
- Prepares instrumentation work scopes, cost estimates, schedules, material specifications, sketches, construction work packages, and other required documentation, including I&E work scopes.
- Configures Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) to optimize system performance and ensure proper data acquisition and control.
- Supports field personnel in the operation and maintenance of automation equipment, fostering a collaborative and skilled workforce through knowledge sharing and guidance.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable state/province and federal regulations, maintains regulatory compliance, and applies company policies throughout the I&E team's operations.
- Guides and mentors the team, actively contributing to employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and overseeing operational processes.
- High School Diploma/GED/Higher Secondary education is required. Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Oilfield Automation, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation and Control Systems, Field Operations and Maintenance or related field. Industry experience is preferred.
- ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) (preferred)
- Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) (preferred)
