Responsibilities

The Electromagnetic Radiation Effects Engineer will develop, review, and maintain technical documentation related to electromagnetic radiation environments, including schematics, specifications, data sheets, manuals, and test procedures. This role involves writing and evaluating procedures to ensure compliance with MIL-STD requirements and equipment capabilities.

  • Support the design, development, and implementation of hardware for a variety of test systems, and design and develop custom instrumentation to meet specific customer test requirements.
  • Perform data acquisition for electromagnetic and microwave testing, operate and maintain high-power amplifiers, and provide technical support, testing, and consultation to Government engineers and other customers.
  • Short-duration travel and occasional overtime may be required to meet government directives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience (preferred).
  • Experience with RF and electromagnetic instrumentation for recording, measuring, and validating RF/electromagnetic signals, and with RF/EMI testing procedures and methodologies.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to successfully complete a background investigation to maintain eligibility for access to classified information.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in general electronics, including circuit analysis, parametric data, and circuit simulation software.
  • Familiarity with multiple computer environments (PCs, databases, etc.) and hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power meters.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong technical writing skills.
