Associate Banker

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifying needs and offering advice on financial solutions in the customers’ best interests.
• Conduct client conversations in the branch lobby and through various channels, recommending alternative banking options and providing personal banking and investment advice.
• Meet customer transaction‑based needs with seamless execution and engage customers in needs‑based discussions about everyday banking plans and credit card options.
• Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, and application follow‑up for opening and closing accounts.
• Apply risk and compliance processes to safeguard customers’ assets, protect privacy, and adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
• Integrate marketing promotions and programs into conversations to provide strategic advice and identify referral opportunities that grow the relationship beyond personal banking.
• Collaborate with branch and market teams, contributing to business results and the overall customer experience while seeking creative, personalized solutions.

• 1–2 years of relevant experience or related field of study; equivalent education and experience accepted.
• Knowledge of personal banking products and the ability to reference specialized solutions to specialists.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles with a focus on results and teamwork.
• Comfortable with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
• Canadian candidates must have completed or be in the process of registering to sell investment products within 12 months.

Salary: $41,714.00 – $50,000.00 (salaried)
