Overview
Be part of the nation’s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste. Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Contracts/Procurement Compliance Administrator and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Responsibilities- Support responses to Government and internal audit requests of direct acquisition file documentation.
- Support business process audits to protect and improve upon SIMCO responses.
- Review documentation for completeness and request assistance from supporting Purchasing Subcontracts teams when necessary.
- Access heritage and current Databases and Systems to acquire requested information across diverse time periods.
- Compile reports for management.
- Work with other functional area staff to collaborate on audit responses.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Develops and presents training for buyers and staff on various compliance topics.
- Works across departments and teams, as needed, to ensure continuous improvement in all procurement processes.
- Responsible for on-going evaluation/self-assessment processes for the Acquisition Services subcontract teams.
- Create and maintain standard purchasing templates and checklists for compliance related items.
- Experience in compliance/regulatory and/or auditing functions a plus.
- Aptitude to analyze DOE/Government procurement procedures.
- Requires strong communication skills (both oral and written).
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn and utilize a diverse set of procurement software (People Soft) and collaboration environments (network drives, SharePoint, Teams).
- Demonstrated experience implementing FAR knowledge and other agency supplements.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with other functional organizations.
- Ability to proactively complete assignments with limited supervision and follow up on tasks issued outside of the organization until a deliverable is completed.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree with ten (10) years of related experience in contracts or subcontracts administration.
- Associate’s degree with fourteen (14) years of related experience in contracts or subcontracts administration.
- High School Diploma or equivalency with eighteen (18) years of related experience in contracts or subcontracts administration.
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
Preferred Requirements- Government contract compliance experience is preferred.

Exempt grade level(s) 32-34. Salary range: $94,706 to $168,658 – the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate’s relevant experience and education.
