You will serve as a Supervisory Park Ranger (Interpretation) with the National Park Service. This position has the responsibility for planning, implementing, and administering a complex program that includes interpretation, education, fee collection, and community outreach. Open to the first 101 applicants or until 08/17/2026whichever comes first. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration.
Major DutiesServes as the program manager for Carlsbad Caverns National Park Division of Interpretation and Visitor Services and is a member of the park's leadership team. Plans, manages, and coordinates all aspects of the park's interpretation, education, outreach, fee collection, and commercial use programs, as well as provides support for park planning and compliance activities. Supervises, directly and indirectly, permanent and seasonal employees, as well as volunteers.
Serves as the liaison with the Western National Parks association; plays a key role in partnership efforts with a variety of federal, tribal, state, and local agencies, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, private and professional organizations. Serves as the park's Public Information Officer and spokesperson for all park events and programs.
