Travel Med/Surg RN – Nights in Carlsbad, NM. 13-week travel nursing assignment (12-hour nights); 2+ years Med/Surg experience required, ACLS & BLS.

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) on a 13-week travel assignment in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit while enjoying the welcoming community and proximity to Carlsbad Caverns National Park.

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800-$1890/week

• Active RN license (must be able to obtain New Mexico state clearance; fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers)
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg experience required (Medical-Surgical nursing experience)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to float to other units; call may be required only for census flex prior to the start of the scheduled shift if census is low (not a regular requirement)
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills (Med Host EMR)

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients on a general medical-surgical inpatient unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and clinical progress using Med Host EMR
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV medications and routine clinical interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float to other units as needed; call may be required only for census flex prior to the start of the scheduled shift if census is low (not a regular requirement)
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Participate in patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
