IT Support, Systems Administrator
Overview
An IT System Administrator provides evaluation, recommendation, design, implementation, administration, maintenance and support of a diverse set of information technology systems that support Intrepid Operations.
Location:
New Mexico – Various.
- Deliver first-level technical assistance for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues via ticketing system, phone, and on-site support.
- Coordinate user setup and assignment of cellphones and other mobile devices, new equipment warranty work, and provide insurance replacements.
- Deploy software and equipment to employees, and maintain a tracking log of deployed hardware.
- Provide staff support for administrative tasks and projects relative to the Desktop, company applications, Wide Area Network, Local Area Network, VPN and Telephony functions.
- Perform basic networking activities such as patching, cable tracing, switch port identification, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum two (2) years in IT-related work
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science or other equivalent preferred
- Working knowledge of multiple types of software including:
Office 365 Suite, Symantec, Mimecast, Ellipse and Avamar

9/80 schedule:
Monday – Thursday, 9-hour workdays, Fridays worked, 8-hour workday, with every other Friday off. On-call situations as needed. Schedule subject to change.
- Indoor, temperature-controlled office environment
- Typical noise levels include moderate noises (business office with computers, printers, etc.)
- Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable, and may occasionally be required to work in surface and underground operations to fulfill job responsibilities
- Sitting, talking and hearing over 2/3 of work time
- Standing, walking, using hands, reaching with hands, climbing, stooping and kneeling up to 2/3 of work time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed
A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required for anyone selected for this opportunity. Placement into the position will not be made until the results are received and cleared by Intrepid.
