Job Title
PNMR Networking Administrator

Job OverviewNetwork & Security Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network and security architecture, ensuring SLA commitments are met and issues proactively addressed.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain complex Network & Security devices, Network Security, and Linux Kernel Programming.
- Scope, analyze, and assess computer/network architecture requirements to determine optimum, cost‑effective solutions.
- Plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects across departments and external organizations.
- Lead P1/P2 Bridges and communicate technical information to non‑technical personnel.
- Provide project management support for the implementation, installation, configuration, and technical support of computer and network architecture.
- Participate in inventory management of software licenses, hardware, and IT supplies per defined processes.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging network technologies and best practices.
- Serve as a point of onsite contact from Network Operations, representing client interests.
- Install, configure, and maintain networks and related hardware (Cisco 29XX, 35XX, 37XX, 45XX, 65XX, Nexus 9K & 7K, ASR, and software).
- Provide on‑call support and escalated assistance for computer/network systems as required.
- Prepare accurate written business communications that are coherent, grammatically correct, and professional.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in design, development, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex network and security devices.
- CCNP or equivalent certification is mandatory; CCIE is optional.
- Strong knowledge of Routing (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), Switching (Nexus, VPC, VDC, VXLAN, HSRP, STP, Ether Channel).
- Experience with multi‑vendor firewalls (Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, Panorama), VPN (IPsec, Site‑to‑Site, Remote access), load balancers (Citrix, F5), Cisco ISE (AAA).
- Monitoring skills (Solar Winds, etc.) and soft skills.
- Hands‑on experience with automation and network scripting.
- Knowledge of current technological developments and industry standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with NSX, Azure Cloud Network, Gigamon (TA, HC1P, Taps).
- Knowledge of security protocols (RADIUS, TACACS).
- Strong documentation and process‑following skills.
- Commercial and business awareness, good time‑management, quick learning of new technologies, and analytical mindset.
