Cleared Senior​/Principal Support Technologist - Telecommunication Infrastructure Services, Onsite

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable LAN/WAN Support Technologist to join our team. The role is responsible for COMSEC (Communication Security) operations including the management of ViPer secure phones, secret key management, and asset tracking.

• Perform software upgrades, including building utilities and tools from source code.
• Conduct hardware additions, changes, and upgrades.
• Configure, test, troubleshoot, and install secure telephones (ViPers) and encryptors.
• Track all accountable cryptographic equipment in the COMSEC database.
• Manage all classified and unclassified physical and electronic cryptographic keys.

$74,700 - $144,400 (estimates based on experience, qualifications, and geographic differential)

• Three or more years of relevant experience.
• COMSEC training with current certification and ViPer installer certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio.
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance (or equivalent such as SCI or DoD Top Secret) at the time of hire.

• System administration experience.
• Network experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network switches and routers.
• Network experience with encryptors and related training certifications.
• Experience with Arista and Juniper equipment.
• Knowledge of COMSEC cryptographic equipment.

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or an equivalent active clearance with another U.S. government agency. Applicants must maintain a DOE Q-level clearance and be U.S. citizens. The job requires background and drug testing as per DOE directive.
