Salary: $35.37 - $53.05 hourly. $73,568 - $110,352 annually. This position is a Pay Band C10.
Why does the job exist?Adult and pediatric immunization administration, assisting with school based vaccination clinics / sexually transmitted infection testing, treatment, and follow up / family planning: birth control dispensing/administration, pregnancy testing, limited STI testing and treatment / TB assessments, testing, contact investigations, treatment, and case management / Complete client care via standing orders, protocols, or clinician orders / Harm Reduction: syringe exchange, Narcan dispensing and information / Providing education on all the above topics to clients and/or their parents at the office or at local health events or in conjunction with a community partner.
Howdoes it get done?
In person client visits and interviews; specimen collection of urine and/or swabs and blood through phlebotomy; dispensing medications and/or birth control; administering injections, i.e. vaccinations or medications; contact with other clinics/doctors via phone, fax, or email; provide referral services to other clinics for continuation of care; case management of client testing, treatment, and follow up care to ensure all tasks have been completed.

The public community: non-insured and insured adults; pediatric clients; confidential teens and incarcerated individuals.
Ideal candidateIdeal candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision by following standing orders and protocols; have computer experience regarding Electronic Health Records, Microsoft Office Suite, language interpretation phone lines, and Adobe programs while using multiple computer screens; able to adapt to quick changing schedules and program requirements; ability to efficiently learn protocols, duties, computer programs correctly; communicate with clients and co-workers in a respectful manner both verbally and electronically;
care for all clients respectfully and courteously regardless of personal beliefs; bilingual-English/Spanish.
Must possess a current license to practice as a registered nurse in New Mexico, or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements, or eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and three (3) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
