American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Carlsbad, NM, requiring 2+ years of experience, ACLS, BLS, and a NM or Compact RN license.

• General Medical-Surgical inpatient nursing unit with a rehab component
• Day shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Floating is required for this position
• On-call may be assigned as a census flex call prior to shift start when census is low; there is no standard on-call schedule
• EMR:
  Med Host
• 13-week contract

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the start date
• PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this travel position
• Fingerprinting is required for all travelers working in New Mexico

• Any scrub color is acceptable
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• Block scheduling may be accommodated upon request
