Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 6:30 pm - 7:00 am; floating and call required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department. The RN maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Proficient in administering medications and monitoring side effects.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care.
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control & quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, & ENPC certifications required.
• NRP certification preferred.
