Floating & Call Required

Trauma Level: Level III

Patient Ratio: 4:1

EMR:
Med Host (EDIS)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Active RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
• ENPC and NRP preferred

Unit Overview:

• Emergency Department with Level III trauma designation
• Floating is required
• Fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical judgment and adaptability

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care using the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings clearly
• Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses
• Demonstrate critical thinking, leadership, and prioritization of patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
