American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring 2+ years of experience and NM or compact RN licensure.
Details- Work in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Mid shift schedule from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Floating required
- Call out requirement of at least 2 hours prior to shift start
- Uses Med Host (EDIS) EMR system
- Full uniform required, any color scrubs accepted
- Active NM or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Dept experience required
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC
- NRP certification preferred
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Active driver's license and US SSN required for consideration
- Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers
- Provide shift accountability for Emergency Room patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgement, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery
- Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Administer medications and monitor for side effects
- Maintain strong documentation and organizational skills
- Apply knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered
- RTO requests must be less than 1 week and limited to 1 per 6-week schedule
- 1 Summer and 1 Winter blackout date apply based on department needs
- Returning travelers who worked as permanent staff at this health system within the past 2 years will not be considered
