Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (Travel)

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite | Floating and call required

• Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively to the care team
• Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions
• Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in anticipating and planning for safe patient care delivery
• Document patient care accurately with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Delegate patient care priorities based on education and experience of available staff; provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
• Must be able to comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements (agency must be registered with the state of New Mexico)
• Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with Med Host (EDIS) a plus
• Ability to float and fulfill call requirements (minimum 2 hours prior to shift start)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department setting

• Opportunity to gain experience in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 4:1
• 13-week contract with a projected start date available for the right candidate
