Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | Floating Required

• Provide nursing care across the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care within an LDRP unit
• Deliver care to patients in antepartum triage, active labor, postpartum (mother and baby), special care nursery, and general nursery
• Apply the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and executing safe patient care delivery
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff; provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Current S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required

• Experience with Med Host (inpatient), GE Centricity (OB), or Athena (clinic) EMR systems
• Comfort working in a small-volume LDRP unit with variable patient ratios (1:1 – 1:4) and floating responsibilities

• Opportunity to make an immediate impact supporting a Labor & Delivery unit with a broad LDRP scope of practice
• No on-call requirements, offering a predictable day-shift schedule for the duration of the assignment
