American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and multiple advanced certifications.
Details- >ital Emergency Department in a Level 3 Trauma facility
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Night shift schedule, 6:30pm to 7:00am
- 13-week assignment length
- Floating required
- On-call required, with a minimum of 2 hours' notice prior to shift start
- Uses Med Host (EDIS) as the EMR system
- 6-week scheduling cycle
- No blocked scheduling or 48-hour shift guarantees available
- Active RN license (New Mexico state or Compact) required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- NRP certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers
- Active driver's license and US Social Security Number required for consideration
- Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital policy and state Nurse Practice Act
- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgement, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
- Delegate and supervise patient care tasks among assigned staff based on experience and education
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Administer medications and monitor for side effects
- Follow safety standards, infection control protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
- Full uniform required with no specific scrub color designated
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered
- Maximum RTO is 1 request per 6-week schedule, and requests must be less than 1 week
- One required holiday coverage day each in summer and winter, based on department needs
- Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered for this travel position
