American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring NM or compact RN license, 2+ years of ER experience, and multiple specialty certifications.

• Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department setting
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Night shift, 6:30pm-7am
• Floating required within scope and experience, typically to ICU if needed
• Uses Med Host (EDIS) EMR system
• 6-week scheduling blocks with max 1 RTO request per schedule
• Full uniform required, no specific scrub color

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of contract start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction/supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects
• Maintain strong documentation practices and attention to detail
• Apply knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
• One Summer and one Winter RTO blackout date required, dependent on department needs
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
