American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a mid-shift travel position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and multiple specialty certifications.
Details- Emergency Department at a Level 3 Trauma facility
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Mid shift, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- 13-week assignment
- Floating required, typically to ICU when needed, within scope and experience
- Uses Med Host (EDIS) EMR system
- Full uniform required, any scrub color accepted
- Active RN license (NM or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC
- NRP certification preferred
- 2+ years of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
- No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
- Valid driver's license and US Social Security Number required for consideration
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the nursing process in accordance with state and hospital policies
- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery
- Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction/supervision to assigned personnel
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Administer medications and monitor for side effects
- Maintain strong documentation practices and adhere to safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards
- Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- RTO requests must be less than one week per scheduling period
- Blocked scheduling and 48-hour guarantees are not offered
- One required holiday coverage in summer and one in winter, dependent on department needs
- Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
