RN, RN Nurse, Operating Room Nurse

OR RN Circulator - Carlsbad, CA

This is a 13-week contract position.

Days, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 5 shifts of 8 hours each. Call is required.

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for patient care in the operating room. As a key member of the surgical team, the RN collaborates with the Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Operation Room Technicians, and other personnel to deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards.

• Ensure the timely preparation of supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding care and procedure updates.
• Maintain and update physician preference cards.
• Scrub and assist during surgical procedures as needed.
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care within the operating room environment.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR RN Circulator.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Experience with general, orthopedic, obstetric, podiatry, plastic, endoscopic, trauma, and DaVinci robotics surgeries is essential.
• Adult and pediatric experience is required.
