Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | Floating and census flex on-call required

• Provide general Medical-Surgical inpatient nursing care within a standard patient ratio of 1:6
• Care for occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the Medical-Surgical floor
• Utilize the Med Host electronic medical records (EMR) system for documentation and patient management
• Participate in census flex on-call as needed prior to the start of a scheduled shift when census is low
• Float as required within the scope of the Medical-Surgical nursing role

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must be willing to comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements for all travelers
• Submitting agency must be registered with the state of New Mexico

• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Prior experience with Med Host EMR system

• Opportunity to gain valuable travel nursing experience in a general Medical-Surgical inpatient setting with a defined 13-week assignment and an anticipated start date of August 2026
