Registered Nurse (RN) – Swing Bed / Medical Surgical (Travel)

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Floating and on-call required | Onsite

• Provide general skilled nursing (SNF) level of care within a Swing Bed unit setting
• Deliver direct patient care within a 15-bed unit at a patient ratio of 1:8
• Float to other units within scope of practice and clinical competency, including Rehabilitation and Medical Surgical units
• Participate in census-based on-call as needed prior to scheduled shift start when census is low
• Document and manage patient care using the Med Host electronic medical records (EMR) system

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of New Mexico
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must be eligible and able to complete New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements prior to assignment start
• Ability to float to Rehabilitation and Medical Surgical units within clinical competency

• 2 or more years of RN experience preferred
• Prior experience in a Swing Bed or skilled nursing facility (SNF) environment
• Familiarity with Med Host EMR system

• Opportunity to support an expanding Swing Bed program at an established facility in New Mexico
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated upon request when noted at time of submittal
