Workplace:
Remote (hybrid). We combine the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. Applicants beyond fifty (50) miles may still be considered.

Job Summary
  • This position manages an assigned territory of core Foremost Independent Agencies, including responsibilities to prospect and appoint new agencies, drive profitable premium growth, and achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Develops and manages agency partnerships and serves as the primary relationship between the agency and the company.
  • Promotes and supports the available suite of Foremost products and services, including a portfolio of moderately complex accounts, within an assigned territory.
  • Builds premium growth through relationships with agents to ensure market share is built successfully.
  • Individual contributor who receives moderate guidance and direction from management and field distribution partners while performing work with business unit and enterprise impacts. Remote with required weekly field travel.
Essential Job Functions
  • Owns and manages assigned territory driving profitable growth to achieve financial and operational targets. With moderate guidance, assists in leading, developing, and executing territory tactical plans and agency management processes (e.g., business planning, training, compensation) to support targets, measure results, and pivot as necessary.
  • Builds and cultivates mutually beneficial agency partnerships in person using a consultative sales framework, establishing position as a trusted advisor while delivering product, underwriting philosophy, appetite, and system training to support retention and new business development.
  • Creates, maintains, and executes high‑quality agency strategies and plans, holding agents accountable to achieve written premium, profit, and new business goals. Coordinates plans with field distribution partners to align with business strategies such as carrier consolidation, agency storefront expansion, and new product or program rollout support.
  • Provides appetite and target market clarity, identifies and addresses profit or quality of business concerns to ensure profitability across territory.
  • Utilizes internal reporting and tools designed to support the Independent Agent channel, including Marketing and Development programs, business development tools, and internal production/profitability data and analysis. Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Actions
  • Job performed in‑person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved alternative work location. May include work at field locations. The physical work environment is indoors and climate‑controlled with adequate lighting and ventilation, and may require occasional field travel.
  • Frequent sitting or standing for prolonged periods, occasional movement, and handling objects or materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
