Pay RangePay Range: $25-$35/hour (Depending on Experience)
PositionThe Mechanic / Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for supporting both equipment maintenance and warehouse operations. This position ensures fusion equipment is properly maintained, repaired, and ready for service while also supporting the efficient flow of materials through the distribution network. The role requires a hands‑on, detail‑oriented individual who thrives in a fast‑paced, team environment and contributes to ISCO's mission and core values.
Responsibilitiesand Essential Functions
Mechanical Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair fusion equipment including small diesel/gas engines, generators, electrical circuits, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform quality inspections of rental equipment prior to returning to service.
- Maintain records of service, repairs, and scheduled maintenance.
- Inspect customer‑owned equipment and prepare repair quotes.
- Communicate equipment status with maintenance coordinators and service advisors.
- Report machine defects, damages, and malfunctions.
- Repair and service fabrication shop equipment as needed.
- Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify incoming products against packing lists.
- Store products in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Pick and prepare orders using system‑generated tickets.
- Determine proper packaging methods to ensure safe delivery.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to coordinate shipments.
- Maintain inventory accuracy using ERP systems (Epicor‑Prelude).
- Conduct cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Communicate shipping details with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Identify delays and implement solutions to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare equipment and materials for shipping.
- Order parts and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Support warehouse projects such as inventory counts and expansions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of mechanical, maintenance, automotive, or warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift experience or ability to be trained and certified
- Basic computer skills (data entry, email, ERP systems)
- Ability to interpret technical instructions
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
