Apprentice Electrician
Join our team as an apprentice electrician! We are seeking a motivated and dependable first-year electrical apprentice to join our growing team in New Mexico and Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to start a rewarding career in the electrical trade while gaining hands-on experience working alongside licensed electricians on commercial, industrial, and energy-related projects.
What you'll be doing:
- Assist journeyman and master electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Safely use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Pull wire, install conduit, terminate electrical devices, and assist with equipment installation.
- Follow project plans, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Travel to project sites as required.
What you bring to the team:
- Enrolled in or willing to enroll in a registered electrical apprenticeship program.
- Basic knowledge of common hand tools and their safe use.
- Basic computer skills, including email, electronic timesheets, and mobile applications.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Work schedule:
- Primarily Monday through Friday, 10-hour workdays.
- Some projects may require extended rotations of up to 21 consecutive workdays.
- Occasional overtime, weekends, and out-of-town travel may be required based on project needs.
