This opportunity supports electrical maintenance and instrument equipment activities within an oil and gas processing environment. The role is focused on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical isolation, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and control systems support, with a strong emphasis on health, safety, environmental standards, and timely delivery of scheduled maintenance work.
Required EducationGrade 12 education or equivalent high school qualification.
Required ExperienceExperience maintaining electrical systems and instruments and controls in a processing plant or offshore production plant environment.
Experience supporting field electrical maintenance work and electrical isolation activities.
Experience working within oil and gas facility operations and maintenance environments.
Required Skills- Installation and maintenance of instrument equipment in line with rules, standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Knowledge of electrical and control systems and related work practices.
- Ability to apply and follow work permits through a Permit To Work System (PTWS).
- Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for lighting, air conditioning, and motor maintenance.
- Ability to provide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting on instrument and electrical systems.
- Ability to generate Management of Change requests (MOCs) on electrical and control-related equipment and support installation inspections in line with Operations Integrity Management System requirements.
- Ability to plan, monitor, inspect, and review work activities with a focus on quality and timely completion.
- Computing skills.
- Strong communication, organisation, reporting, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-oriented approach.
- 5+ years’ experience preferred.
- Related technical school courses preferred.
