Yard Technician II

Mission

As our Yard Technician II, your mission is to prepare, inspect, and maintain rental equipment while supporting yard, field, and transportation activities. You will work more independently than a Yard Technician I and help develop newer employees.

• Inspect, clean, stage, and prepare rental equipment for customer use.
• Check boxes and frac tanks, identify damage, and complete basic corrective work.
• Verify required components and communicate repair needs.

• Perform assigned minor maintenance on pumps and equipment, including basic service tasks.
• Support equipment setups, field work, and weekend or peak-volume preparation as scheduled.
• Operate approved company vehicles and equipment when assigned.

• Assist with training Yard Technician I employees.
• Load and unload equipment and support drivers, berm technicians, and mechanics.
• Maintain tools, forklifts, pressure washers, and work areas in safe working order.

• Follow company safety, environmental, driving, inspection, and documentation requirements.
• Use assistance for heavy or awkward loads and report hazards promptly.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Yard, equipment, industrial, construction, or basic mechanical experience preferred.
• Forklift experience or ability to obtain authorization.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic tools.
• Ability to inspect and prepare equipment with limited supervision.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; DOT physical required.
• Ability to perform outdoor physical work; independently lift up to 45 pounds and use assistance for heavier loads.

This position is based at NTE Carlsbad Branch Location. Travel requirement:
Local field support as assigned.
