Role Description The Pump Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Carlsbad, NM. This role is responsible for inspecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing pumps and related equipment used in oilfield and water disposal operations. Daily activities may include troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues, performing routine preventive maintenance, and documenting work performed according to company procedures. The Pump Service Technician collaborates with operations and safety teams to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe work environment.

The role may involve working outdoors in varying conditions, handling tools and parts, and responding to service calls as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical repair and maintenance of pumps, motors, and related industrial equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Basic understanding of fluid systems, pressure, and flow in oilfield or industrial settings.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to follow technical manuals and work instructions.
• Commitment to safety practices, including use of personal protective equipment and adherence to company safety policies.
• Ability to work on-site in outdoor and industrial environments, including standing, lifting, and bending as required.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field is beneficial.
• Prior experience in oil and energy, water disposal, or related field service work is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for job-related travel as needed
• Ability to work day or night shift
• Willingness to maintain a clean working enviroment including service trucks.
