Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and deliver equipment to customer sites and other branch locations in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.”
  • Maintain proper paperwork and ensure a professional appearance of all vehicles; provide basic operational instruction to customers on safe operation of equipment.
  • Complete daily truck logs, fuel and mileage reports, IFTA paperwork, and DOT logs; record information on pickups, deliveries, and transfers.
  • Manage day-to-day use of company-provided fuel card and report any unsafe conditions regarding equipment.
  • Keep vehicles clean and maintained to professional standards; perform daily inspections (tires, lights, fluids, etc.) and ensure readiness for next-day operations.
  • Assist with workloads in other departments/branches when not busy with primary tasks; respond to customer needs in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Promote additional equipment and services; understand and communicate product and service offerings.
  • Understand and comply with DOT Federal Motor Carrier regulations; conduct post-trip inspections as required.
  • Inspections for damage at pickup and reporting findings to Rental Counter personnel upon return.
  • Provide training or demonstrations to customers on safe operation of equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
Essential Functions

  • Completes and maintains daily truck logs, fuel/mileage reports, IFTA, DOT logs, and information on pickups/deliveries/transfers.
  • Accurately manages day-to-day use and reporting of the company fuel card.
  • Reports unsafe conditions regarding equipment use.
  • Ensures vehicle cleanliness and professional appearance; performs vehicle inspections.
  • Interacts with customers professionally and acts as an ambassador for the company.
  • Maintains equipment knowledge to ensure safe operations; demonstrates equipment operation to customers.
  • Understands and complies with DOT regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years professional driving experience
  • 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience
  • 3-5 years customer service experience
  • 1-3 years working knowledge of construction equipment
Required

Education and Experience
  • Valid Driver’s License (state of employment)
  • CDL Class A tanker certified
  • Excellent driving record (no DUI, suspensions, or DOT violations)
