Material Handler

Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for receipt, staging, delivery, and stocking of parts and consumables across all inventory locations in multiple geographic areas. They maintain safe stock levels determined by the Purchasing department and Field Operations teams.

• Receives parts and consumables at central location for staging and delivery to remote sites.
• Transfers order information from packing slips or delivery tickets into the electronic inventory control system.
• Organizes received parts by destination for timely delivery to remote locations.
• Delivers parts to remote sites on a regular schedule.
• Stocks lots and bins at remote locations according to a predetermined organizational system.
• Keeps all remote inventory locations neat and organized.
• Evaluates reorder quantities and safe stock levels according to consumption rates and delivery times, recommending adjustments to purchasing specialists.
• Works with the purchasing specialist to establish safe stock levels and re‑order points for parts not previously carried in the system.
• Establishes delivery logistics with parts vendors as required.
• Provides quick delivery of parts and supplies for emergency operations response to unit‑down conditions.
• Proficient in electronic inventory control systems and software.
• Understands basic inventory and warranty claim accounting practices and the company’s use thereof.

• High school diploma required.

• 2 years’ experience in an oilfield service organization preferred.
• Experience in a warehouse, inventory, and/or customer service role required.
• Familiarity with reciprocating compression equipment and its application preferred.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of service culture and willingness to support where needed.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to participate in an on‑call schedule.
• Ability to work under pressure and occasional long or irregular hours.

Required to sit for long periods of time as needed. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unaided. Ability to travel to/from site locations.
