Join Our Team as a Materials Handler IV – Asset Recover Coordinator in the Permian Basin!
Are you a motivated, safety-conscious professional with a knack for logistics and asset management? We’re seeking a skilled Materials Handler IV (also known as Asset Recover Coordinator) to support our dynamic field operations across the Permian Basin. This critical role involves identifying, evaluating, and coordinating the movement of company‑owned materials and equipment, helping us optimize asset utilization and maintain operational excellence.

- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years in material handling, warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or oilfield operations
- Experience in oilfield environments, particularly in the Permian Basin, is preferred
- Forklift operating certification and safe operation skills
- Familiarity with inventory systems, ERP, or SAP
- Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures
- Ability to identify oilfield equipment and materials, including fittings, valves, and pipe
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and safely around hard equipment
- Previous experience with SAP inventory transactions
- Oilfield equipment and asset management expertise
- Supply chain or warehouse operations background
- Vendor coordination experience
- Forklift certification (advanced)
- Knowledge of salvage, asset disposition, or material recovery programs
- Familiarity with Occidental’s operational practices
- Safety certifications such as OSHA, H2S, First Aid, or CPR
- Prior experience working in the Permian Basin oilfield sector
- Proven track record in warehouse or inventory management roles
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Must be willing to travel to various field locations
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and work outdoors in diverse weather conditions
- Physical capacity to stand, walk, bend, climb, and operate industrial equipment safely
This is a 12+ month contract opportunity at a competitive rate of $41.00/hour, working Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
