A well-established consumer goods company with international operations is hiring a Senior Accountant to support core accounting and financial reporting functions. The role is based in Carlstadt, NJ and reports directly to the CFO.

This position goes beyond traditional senior accounting responsibilities and offers hands‑on involvement in financial statement preparation, operational accounting, and process improvement initiatives. It is well suited for an experienced accountant seeking visibility, ownership, and growth.

• Own general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reporting
• AP & AR, and cash management processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Assist with variance analysis and financial reporting for management
• Partner closely with the CFO on accounting operations, reporting, and ad‑hoc projects
• Support audits, documentation, and internal controls as needed
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives as the company scales
• Maintain accurate, well‑organized accounting records in compliance with GAAP

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
• Experience with month‑end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Comfortable working with accounting systems and financial data; exposure to automation or AI‑enabled tools a plus
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Team‑oriented with the ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative environment
• Salary range: $80,000 – $90,000
