Qualifications

Candidates should have strong leadership and communication skills. The ability to engage the congregation during worship and to relate the teachings of Jesus Christ to the challenges we are facing in the modern era are desired. Candidates should possess an outgoing demeanor and desire to engage in the local communities. Candidates should respect generational traditions while bringing new ideas to create new traditions.

• Preach, lead in worship and provide a biblically based teaching ministry that will lead to spiritual growth of the membership.
• Provide pastoral care, including visitations, weddings, funerals, and baptisms.
• Prepare to lead worship on each Sunday, coordinating with the administrator for bulletin preparation and the organist.
• Prepare and teach a confirmation class as needed.
• Support and guide the Sunday School, including engaging with the children during worship for a children’s sermon.
• Assist in moderator duties for Session and Deacons.
