About the Role
We are seeking a Site Manager to lead our Carlstadt, NJ facility. This floor‑visible, operationally driven leader will own the day‑to‑day operation of the plant, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule while developing a team that delivers consistent results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all aspects of manufacturing operations with a strong focus on production output, efficiency, and on‑time delivery.
- Drive daily execution on the floor, proactively removing roadblocks, managing priorities, and ensuring targets are met.
- Establish operational discipline across scheduling, labor planning, inventory, and maintenance.
- Monitor and act on key production metrics (throughput, downtime, scrap, labor efficiency) to drive immediate and sustained improvement.
- Champion Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Build and develop frontline leaders and supervisors, setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and strengthening accountability.
- Create a high‑performance culture centered on safety, ownership, and engagement.
- Work with Door Group leaders to align strategy, resources, and long‑term planning and strengthen customer relations.
- Partner cross‑functionally with customer service, planning, HR, and finance to align production with business needs.
- Ensure consistent achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate policies, AADG programs, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience leading manufacturing operations with direct impact on production performance.
- Strong shop floor leadership presence, visible, accessible, and engaged across shifts.
- Deep understanding of production flow, scheduling, labor optimization, and operational metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to drive throughput, improve efficiency, and solve operational challenges in real time.
- Experience building, coaching, and developing manufacturing teams, including frontline leaders.
- Background in Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement with practical application.
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment preferred.
- Solid business and financial acumen, including P&L ownership.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach.

Compensation range $150k to 190k depending on experience.
