Architectural Stone Sales Executive

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Stone Sales Executive to drive sales of natural stone products to architects, interior designers, contractors and developers. The role focuses on specification, relationship-building with A&D professionals, and end-to-end support from product selection and sample coordination through quoting and project handover. The ideal candidate combines deep product knowledge of stone (marble, granite, quartzite and related materials) with consultative selling and strong project coordination skills to win and manage architectural stone projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow sales to architecture and design firms, specifiers, contractors and selected trade accounts within assigned territory.
• Actively engage with architects, interior designers and developers to secure product specifications and incorporate natural stone into project designs.
• Provide expert product consultation on stone types (marble, granite, quartzite), finishes, edge details, and suitability for applications (flooring, cladding, countertops, facades).
• Prepare and present quotations, material take-offs and specification documents; manage follow-up to convert opportunities into orders.
• Coordinate sample requests, mock-ups and showroom displays; manage timely delivery of samples and technical literature to specifiers and clients.
• Collaborate with estimating, fabrication, production and logistics teams to ensure accurate templating, scheduling and on-time delivery.
• Conduct site visits and pre-installation reviews as required to advise on substrate preparation, tolerances and installation details.
• Maintain accurate opportunity, contact and activity records in the CRM; produce regular sales forecasts and reports.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and client meetings; develop marketing and promotional initiatives targeted at the A&D community.
• Meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer service and professionalism.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience in architectural stone, natural stone distribution, or building materials sales with demonstrable A&D (architecture & design) sales success.
• Strong product knowledge of stone, including marble, granite and quartzite ability to advise on selection, finishes and application suitability.
• Proven track record of securing specifications and managing projects from inquiry through delivery in a commercial or architectural context.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills with architects, designers and contractors.
• Technical aptitude and familiarity with templating, fabrication and installation constraints for stone products; ability to read plans and specifications.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office; experience preparing quotes and material take-offs.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to client sites, fabricators and trade shows as required.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Architecture, Construction Management or related field preferred; strong industry references or portfolio of projects advantageous.
