Description Position Purpose

Tasks
  • Plan, develop, or implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
  • Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
  • Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.
  • Organizing requests and facilitate open action items and provide timely notifications or communication
  • Supervise internal resources to execute daily objectives and requests effectively
  • facilitate the execution of both wholesale and ecommerce fulfillment operations
  • Facilitate and supervise inventory and cycle count processes
  • Provide accurate and timely communication of data for KPI management objectives and communication with the customer
  • Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
  • Schedule or monitor air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
  • Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
  • Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
  • Implement plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchase or changes in space allocation or structural design.
  • Track and trace goods while they are in route to their destinations, expediting orders when necessary.
  • Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
  • Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
  • Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
  • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
