Class A CDL Driver Construction Materials (Luxury Stone Hauling)

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to transport construction materials primarily luxury stone slabs and aggregate to commercial and residential job sites. The ideal candidate will operate heavy-duty tractors and trailers, ensure secure and on-time deliveries, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, comply with DOT regulations, and represent our company professionally to customers and jobsite personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A tractor-trailer combinations to load, haul and deliver construction materials such as stone, gravel, and sand to job sites.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, document findings, and report mechanical issues to maintenance promptly.
• Secure loads using appropriate chains, straps, tarps, and other load-control equipment; ensure materials are contained and distributed per weight and safety guidelines.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as required by site conditions, which may include operating tailgates, dump configurations, or manual shoveling while observing proper lifting techniques.
• Maintain accurate logs, delivery paperwork, bills of lading, and electronic logging device (ELD) records; communicate delivery status and ETA updates to dispatch.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations including hours-of-service rules, weight limits, and safety protocols.
• Represent the company professionally at customer job sites, coordinating with site supervisors to ensure safe placement of materials and completion of delivery instructions.
• Participate in routine safety meetings, follow company safety policies, and proactively identify and communicate potential hazards.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) in good standing; additional endorsements (e.g., air brake) as required by equipment.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience operating Class A vehicles, preferably hauling construction materials or stone/aggregate products.
• Proven experience with stone, gravel, or similar bulk construction materials, including familiarity with end dump, belly dump, or walking floor trailers preferred.
• Clean driving record with no recent preventable accidents; ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and proper load securement techniques.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in varied weather and site conditions.
• Strong communication skills, dependable attendance, and the ability to follow directions from dispatch and site supervisors.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to perform routine checks and recognize mechanical issues; willing to report and coordinate repairs as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; willingness to attend safety training and obtain additional endorsements or certifications as needed.
