Material Coordinator
The Material Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular inventory counts, ensuring that all inventory processes and procedures are followed. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Conduct regular and accurate physical inventory counts (daily cycle counts), reconcile inventory discrepancies and report findings to management, update inventory records in the system promptly, and monitor/report inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Data Entry and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments, and generate/distribute inventory reports as required.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory for accuracy and quality, ensure proper labeling and storage, identify and report any damaged or expired inventory.
- Compliance and Procedures: Follow all company policies and procedures related to inventory control, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and participate in audits providing necessary documentation and support.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory status and issues.
- Product Movement: Utilize a forklift to move product to and from locations, transfer finished product to designated location in facility/warehouse, and maintain flexibility to work overtime and non‑standard hours as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record‑keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Daily exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness, poor lighting, noise, and vibration, with seasonal exposure to weather elements such as extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.
- Physical risks such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, and communicable diseases.
- Requires standing, walking in office/warehouse/plant, lifting up to 50 pounds, fine dexterity, reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting on a daily basis.

The salary range for this role is $21.08 - $34.03. Actual compensation may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location. Salary is compliant with applicable local, state, and federal pay laws.
