Job Summary
The Warehouse Clerk will perform inventory transfers, customer assistance at the will‑call window, telephone calls, data entry, bill of lading processing and forklift support. Responsibilities include raw product transfer to plant, finished goods to vendors, inventory error investigation, receipt logging, bill of lading preparation, customer service at the window, appointment coordination, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Transfer raw product from the warehouse to the plant and finished goods to vendors.
- Investigate and correct inventory errors and notify supervisors of discrepancies.
- Log receipts into the product report by verifying amounts, product codes, dates and product numbers.
- Process bills of lading ensuring product availability in inventory; prepare bills of lading for customer shipments and handbills for outbound shipments.
- Assist customers at the will–call window by receiving product or packages, notifying recipients, and directing drivers.
- Receive and initiate phone calls to set appointments for deliveries.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year experience in shipping and receiving.
- Knowledge of operational, technical and office processes.
- Proficient with computer and related software, fax machine, copy machine, calculator and Fed Ex Power Ship.
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
Daily exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, darkness, noise and weather elements; physical risks from moving mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards and electrical hazards. Requires standing at the will‑call window, sitting at a desk, walking around office and plant, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and using fine dexterity, reaching and kneeling. Must be able to see, hear and communicate professionally.
Compensation& Benefits
