Tax Intern

This is a full time in office internship running from January through mid March Interns work an average of 55 hours per week with peak weeks reaching up to 65 hours during the height of busy season We share that upfront so you can come in prepared and with a clear understanding of the experience

• Complete a structured onboarding and training program before working on client engagements
• Prepare partnership individual personal property and corporate tax returns
• Learn directly from your team members with a wide variety of specialized experience and technical knowledge
• Complete an average of 200 tax returns within the 35 month internship
• Meet with your in charge to review your progress and sharpen your skills

• Accounting major working toward the credit hour requirements needed to sit for the CPA exam
• Cumulative GPA and major GPA of 30 or higher preferred
• Completion of at least one intermediate accounting course before the internship begins preferred
• Ability to take leave from spring semester classes and commit to 55 or more hours per week during the internship
• Reliable transportation to and from the office
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship
• Entrepreneurial hardworking and adaptable with strong critical thinking skills and a willingness to take on new and challenging assignments

• Compensation This position pays 2900 to 4800 per hour Actual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications experience and where applicable other job related factors permitted by law This position is not eligible for bonuses commissions or employee benefits except as required by applicable law This pay range reflects a good faith estimate of the compensation for this position in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws

• Mentorship at three levels a DOZ Buddy for day to day support a Partner or Principal Lead for professional development and an HR Lead for overall guidance
• Honest regular feedback so you know where you stand and how to improve
