Specialist-Document Management

Provides comprehensive support for IU Health's document management program, executing standard, enterprise-wide processes for the creation, revision, approval, and storage of all documents within a single-source repository. This role is vital to increasing the quality, safety, and reliability of clinical and operational processes across all IU Health facilities. The Specialist delivers education and guidance on document management principles to team members, leaders, and providers within their region and across the broader organization.

Additionally, the position assists with team planning, execution, and workflow monitoring, leveraging critical thinking skills to assess operational needs, gather stakeholder input, and propose enhanced, efficient approval processes. Throughout all responsibilities, the Specialist ensures customer‑centered support and professionalism while actively promoting program adherence.

Reports to Manager-Accreditation and Regulatory

Candidate Qualifications
  • 3‑5 years experience in project coordination/facilitation required, with 1‑3 years experience in working with clinical and or business process flow improvements.
  • Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment a plus.
  • Experience exhibiting professional judgment and diplomacy in handling unexpected problems and frequent interruptions is required.
  • Requires basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of experience required.
  • Clinical license and/or other certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
