Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school in the Indianapolis, IN area is seeking licensed Special Education Teachers to support students in elementary and developmental preschool settings. This contract position offers an opportunity to work 35 hours per week for a full school year, starting as soon as possible. Multiple openings are available for educators experienced in special education classrooms, inclusion, resource, and autism caseloads.
Responsibilities include serving as the licensed teacher of record, developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), and collaborating with staff and families to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana state license in mild to moderate special education for K-12 grades
- Experience supporting students in special education classrooms, inclusion settings, resource rooms, or autism programs
- Ability to manage varied caseloads and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
