Strong on the technical part but also someone who has great leadership and can interact really well with the customers. Interact in the appropriate way to collect information and ask the right questions. Come across as a partner to the clients.
The role in the near future is more externally facing. They will be leading technical conversations. Do work but guide others on the team.
Need to know where they are going with everything and the deliverables they are working towards. Understand the "what" on what is trying to be produced. Could consider candidates that aren't in leadership yet but ability to get there.
Would prefer that they are able to be on site in a hybrid role a couple days/week. INCOSE certification isn't required but affiliation indicates they are talking about the same type of systems engineering. Participants or familiar with that clarifies the discipline they are looking for. Found Systems Engineering as a practice has strong roles in defense industry, medical devices, aerospace and other complex critical missions.
Not a near term contract to hire so doing work as contractor right now.

Work with domain professionals and project teams to apply Systems Engineering logic and methodology. Be a part of crafting technology solutions that ensure the future systematic, reliable operations of the bulk electric power grid. This position will utilize modern systems engineering practices to develop and evolve our energy management platforms.
We're looking for someone who is curious, good at asking questions, and understanding engineering concepts!
As a Systems Engineer, you will:
* Elicit, analyze, and handle/allocate system requirements by collaborating and working with the business throughout the product lifecycle
* Lead system design, build/maintain functional models, and participate in design evaluation decisions and tradeoffs to transition the organization to an enterprise-wide portfolio management model
* Partner with other professionals to build system engineering artifacts to support program/project management, vendor development, and business analysis
* Collaborate across a broad and diverse set of partners (Enterprise Architecture, R&D, Product Teams, Software Development, Test, and Business teams) to help establish and improve a standard technical development model
To be successful in this role, we're looking for the following:

* Pay and Benefits
* The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $100.00/hr.
