Senior Field Service Engineer

This position reports to:

• Be responsible for hands‑on execution of projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment such as transformers, switch gear, OCBs, circuit breakers, busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, relays, and Power Management Control systems.
• Lead outages with field engineers, technicians, and contractors, performing project management, site engineering, and prepare administrative functions such as technical reports, material orders, quotations, job status reports, customer reports, time sheets, and expense sheets.
• Plan, prepare, and instruct internal and external training programs to impart and perpetuate field engineering and product knowledge.
• Perform timely administrative functions related to your work, including writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, and preparing job status reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with a preference for 5+ years of field engineering experience.
• 9 years of combined education and work experience.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to an estimated 75% of the time.
• Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers.
• Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of medium‑voltage synchronous machines.
• Must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
