Key Responsibilities:
- Build, update, and maintain transmission and generation models supporting reliability, economic, and policy studies through collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders – including Transmission Owners, Generator Owners, Balancing Authorities, RTOs/PCs.
- Contribute to and support ERAG MMWG model development, data management, case preparation, and reporting along with modeling work associated with planningrelated NERC compliance filings (MOD, TPL), ensuring adherence to OATT/Tariff and FERC/NERC requirements.
- Provide technical engineering support for internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate modeling data submissions.
- Examine complex system data, evaluate modeling risks, and identify engineering solutions.
- Make recommendations affecting the design, scheduling, and completion of projects that may affect multiple departments or the division.
- Contribute to complex projects requiring coordination across multiple departments and divisions.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Three years related energy industry experience (five preferred) with Transmission Owners, Generator Owners, Balancing Authorities, RTOs, or Planning Coordinators.
- Power system modeling experience, including power flow and dynamic simulation tools such as PSSE, MUST, TARA, TSAT.
- Exposure to power system planning, bulk electric system operations, substation design, or protection/control engineering.
- Experience supporting FERC/NERC compliance evidence.
Technical Skills
- Power system modeling; power flow, voltage, and dynamic analysis
- Tools:
Siemens PSS/E, GE PSLF, Powertech PSA tools, Siemens MUST, TARA, VSAT, TSAT, PSCAD, Siemens MOD, MISO Model Manager - Database experience (Oracle, HABITAT)
- Understanding of NERC & FERC regulatory requirements
- UNIX, Windows, Linux administration
- Python, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on location, competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 401k, vacation, sick and safe time, available on your first day of employment.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
