Direct Hire – Carmel, IN. Relocation available. Visa sponsorship not available.

6‑week (12‑hour day/night) rotation schedule.

As a Senior Reliability Coordinator – NERC Certified System Operator (NCSO), you will help the client conduct continuous analysis based on changing data models and make adjustments to mitigate potential risks to the company and stakeholders. You will also work to resolve transmission congestion to maintain the reliable operation of the interconnection on a 24x7 basis and help keep the bulk electric system safe and reliable.

You will have the opportunity to provide input on process‑improvement initiatives.

In the first year you will demonstrate situational awareness, discretion, independent judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to act promptly and decisively in response to complex and unplanned situations.

• Conduct continuous analysis of changing data models and adjust operations accordingly.
• Resolve transmission congestion to maintain reliable interconnection operation 24/7.
• Maintain integrity and safe operation of the Bulk Electric System.
• Provide input on process improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or related field, or at least four years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated successful completion of the Oral Board and Simulation Certification for the assigned functional desk (post‑hire or prior).
• Current NERC/RC certification or ability to obtain certification before operating the assigned desk.
• Minimum five years of work experience in electrical engineering, generation system dispatch, transmission system operations, merchant operations, generation operational planning, or power accounting.
• Appropriate level determined based on experience and knowledge.
