Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
• 4+ years experience in at least one of the following areas
• Power system analysis and operations
• Statistical analysis
• Econometrics
• Market analysis and design
• Optimization algorithms
• Software development related to power systems
• Experience in the energy/utilities industry

Plusses:

• Prior deregulated wholesale electricity market experience
• Experience with an RTO/ISO market participant
• NERC Certification
• Advanced economic modeling experience
• Electricity market operations knowledge

Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Senior Market Design Engineer for a leading energy market operator. This candidate will serve as a market subject matter expert focused on wholesale electricity markets, energy and ancillary services, pricing outcomes, market rules, and market efficiencies.
