Electrical Design Engineer (MEP)
An established and growing engineering consulting firm is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer / Electrical Engineer to join its team and contribute to the design of a variety of commercial and institutional building projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical engineering professional with strong MEP and Revit experience to work on projects from design through construction.
Electrical Engineer | MEPElectrical Design Engineer / Designer / Revit / Building Systems RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop electrical and technology system designs for commercial and institutional buildings.
- Create construction documents and detailed drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Design electrical power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
- Work with systems including fire alarm, telecommunications, security, and other building technologies.
- Coordinate designs with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and engineering teams.
- Participate in field investigations and periodic construction site visits.
- Review equipment submittals and assist with construction-phase activities.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable NEC, NFPA, and building code requirements.
- 3+ years of electrical design, electrical engineering, or building systems experience.
- Strong proficiency with Revit is required.
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of commercial building electrical systems.
- Familiarity with NEC and NFPA standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
- FE/EIT certification, progress toward PE licensure, RCDD, LEED, or related credentials are a plus.
